Casely (real name - Jean Carlos Casely) is an American R&B/hip-hop artist from the state of Florida. He was born in 1985.
After attending world-famous Berklee College of Music on full scholarship, this classically trained pianist is a singing-acting-dancing-songwriting quadruple threat who embodies what it means to be a child of the 80s - his influences range from Prince and Michael Jackson to Death Cab for Cutie and John Mayer, and it shows.
In 2005, he released his debut album I'll Be on the 1st Records label. The album caught the attention of the Diaz Brothers, who signed him to their own division of Epic Records in 2007. It's an album with unexpected twists and turns, glittery synthesizers, sumptuous melodic layer-cakes, and straight-up hot rhythms.
His second album, 1985, will be released in 2008; its lead-off single, "Emotional" (which Casely wrote himself), was released in February 2008 and has entered the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.
