Akcent
Akcent is a Romanian dance-pop act. The group consists of four members: Marius Nedelcu , Adrian Claudiu Sana, Sorin Stefan Brotnei, Mihai Gruia.
Adrian Claudiu Sana started the group in 1999. At that time, it consisted of him and his counterpart Ramona Barta. Akcent's single "Kylie" has raised to the top of several European music charts. "Kylie" also became a moderate hit in the US, charting well on the Hot Dance Singles Sales chart.
Their English debut album “French Kiss” with “Kylie” was released in Europe on the 23 of August 2006 and includes their 2 European smash hits: "Kylie" and "Jokero". Their song French kiss (the English version of "9 May") is a mere copy of "Extemporal la dirigentie" by Stela Enache (a Romanian singer that was highly acclaimed in the 80s and whose song "Anii de Liceu" with her husband is still a hit among teenagers).
Their albums are the following: “In culori” 2002, “100 bpm” 2003. “Poveste de viata” 2004, “SOS” 2005, “Primul capitol” 2006, “King of the disco” 2007. Akcent has as well two international albums: “French kiss with Kylie” 2006 and “French kiss with Kylie – Re - Release” 2007
