Sean Kingston (Kisean Anderson) was born on February 3, 1990 in Miami, Florida, is a Jamaican-American emerging reggae and pop musician who also raps.
Kingston, through a unique venture between Epic Records and Koch Records, released the single, "Beautiful Girls," in summer 2007. [1] The single, based on the exact bass line and some lyrical "association" of the 1961 hit "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for a total of five weeks, and has sinced topped the UK Single Charts as well.
Kingston also has a "street single", entitled "Colours", which features The Game, along with a fellow Miami native, Rick Ross. The remix features Kardinal Offishall and Vybz Kartel. Many of the lyrics on 'Colours' are based on his experience seeing his mother and sister incarcerated.
Sean Kingston is known for switching between an Urban-American dialect and a Jamaican accent in his music.
While Kingston announced at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards that he will be playing Notorious B.I.G. in the Notorious B.I.G. Biopic this was later disputed by the films executive-producer Wayne Barrow.
