The Script are a three-piece Irish band from Dublin. They are currently based in London after signing to RCA Label Group imprint Phonogenic.
This is a whole new brand of Celtic Soul, blending hip hop lyrical flow with pop melodiousness, state-of-the-art R'n'B production with anthemic rock dynamics, classic song construction with gritty contemporary narratives.
It's got all the emotion and passion you would expect from across the Irish sea, but it is glittering in its modernity, universal in its singalong addictiveness and global in its syncopation, music for the feet, heart and head. Think U2 versus Timbaland, Van Morrison remixed by Teddy Riley.
Mark and Danny are former producers who worked with Rodney Jerkins, the Neptunes, Teddy Reilly and Dallas Austin. They were based in the US, but moved back to Dublin where they recruited Glen for their new band.
Their debut single 'We Cry' received "Single of the Week" on BBC Radio 2, RTE 2FM, Today FM and by Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 1 and was Kevin Hughes' tune of the week on GCap Media's The One Network show "Music Control".
The band toured with Newton Faulkner and with English pop band, The Hoosiers across the UK until March 2008. The band will be supporting N*E*R*D on their forthcoming UK tour later this year, however in April and May 2008, the band will go on their very first UK headline tour.
