Adam Lambert announces album name
“It’s official! My debut album, dropping November 23rd will be called ‘For Your Entertainment.’” Adam Lambert says in a Twitter message to his fans, thus revealing to the entire world the secret that has been kept well under wraps until now. And this is not all that the American Idol runner-up has to announce, as he’s also working on a new song with none other than Lady Gaga.
As fans will remember, it’s only days that Lambert was denying rumors that he was about to take Kanye West’s place in the joint tour “Fame Kills” with Gaga. Not that he wouldn’t do it, he was saying at the time, it’s just that no one approached him to ask for such a thing. Either Gaga heard his comment and decided to not let this opportunity get by, or the collaboration was planned but kept a secret, for fans should prepare to hear the two singing together, as Adam himself says, also on Twitter.
“Yes it’s true: I spent yesterday in the studio w[ith] the insanely talented and creative Lady GaGa recording a song that she wrote! I love her. Gaga wrote the song a while ago and she thought it would be a good fit for me. It’s a solo track. I feel so honored and lucky to be asked. Gaga just gets it, ya know?” Adam writes of the unexpected but not entirely surprising collaboration. In between tweets, the singer also says his song “Time for Miracles” off the “2012” musical score is now available on iTunes and Amazon, after leaking on the Internet hours before.
“Time for Miracles,” though, will not be included on the debut album, “For Your Entertainment,” as we were also telling you yesterday. “Recently, several Lambert song titles have been confirmed. Producer Rob Cavallo name-checked ‘Suburban Decay,’ ‘Music Again’ and ‘Winners’ in an interview with Yahoo! Music, while the current issue of Entertainment Weekly also cites ‘What Do You Want From Me’ (a leftover from Pink’s ‘Funhouse’ album, co-written by Max Martin and Pink) and ‘Loaded Smile,’ by Adam and Linda Perry. (Rolling Stone reported on a Kara DioGuardi/ Lambert collaboration, ‘Strut,’ weeks ago.)” MTV says of some of the tracks that will make it on the album.
