Beautiful South split after 19 years
Moldova.ORG -- The Beautiful South have announced that they have split up, informs The Associated Press.
The band, which has made thirteen albums over its nineteen year career, joking the parting of ways was due to "musical 
similarities".
Although the group has released 33 singles, only one hit number 1 in the UK, namely 'A Little Time' in 1990.
"The band would like to thank everyone for their 19 wonderful years in music," they acknowledged in the official statement.
