Concert ends Russian choreographer's fete
A nearly month-long celebration of the 80th birthday of Russian choreographer Yuri Grigorovich ended Sunday with a concert in London.
Grigorovich's actual birthday was Jan. 2. The festival of performances was a gift of the Russian main theatre for the choreographer who headed its ballet troupe for 30 years, Itar-TASS said.
Krasnodar Ballet and Bolshoi Theater soloists were among the dancers scheduled to participate in the London performance at the Royal Covent Garden Theater. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
