Fashion and Stars Unite to Honor Top Talent
The fashion industry's hot ticket this week was the 23rd Annual Night of Stars, Fashion Group International's night to honor the big names in fashion and design that set the bar for excellence and creativity in their fields, relates Reuters.
Held at Cipriani on 42nd Street on Thursday, October 26th and attended by stylish heavy hitters like Mariska Hargitay, Gwyneth Paltrow, Emmy Rossum, Anne Hathaway, Mischa Barton, Iman and Julianne Moore this year's gala celebrated Neiman Marcus' Burt Tansky, who received the Superstar Award, Carolina Herrera, Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent, Consuelo Castiglioni for Marni and Ruben and Isabel Toledo were all Star Honorees, while Diller Scofidio Renfro received the Star Award Architecture.
FGI honored Aerin Lauder, recent Pulitzer Prize winner Robin Givhan was honored for journalism, Timothy Shriver of the Special Olympics received the Humanitarian Award and the Fashion Oracle Award was given to stylist Rachel Zoe, known for outfitting tinsletown's pretty young things like Mischa Barton and Nicole Richie.
