Joss Stone's speaks with American accent when nervous
The bizarre accent Joss Stone displayed at Wednesday's Brit Awards was the result of nerves, according to a statement to AP of her publicist.
The British pop star stunned the audience at the London music ceremony when she spoke in a strong American accent. 
However, Stone's publicist claims the 19-year-old only speaks in the put on accent when she is nervous.
He says, "She's lived in America since she was 15 but her accent becomes stronger when she's nervous."
