Moldovan Hora sung by Nelly Ciobanu at Eurovision to be promoted

The song Moldovan Hora (Moldovan circle-like dance), sung by Nelly Ciobanu, the representative at Eurovision-2009, will be promoted in at least six countries.

Vitalie Cojocaru, the member of the organizational commission, has said to BASA-press that Moldova is negotiating with more states on promoting the song and, eventually, of the video clip. Among them are: Holland, Poland, Romania, Armenia and Russia. We are collaborating with Greece at the moment, and other states”, Cojocaru said.

The crew is finishing shooting the video clip, and it is likely to appear in the coming days, according to the quoted source. Nelly Ciobanu registered a new variant of the song and its remix.

The 54th edtion of the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Moscow, after the Russian singer Dima Bilan was ranked first at the 2008 edition. The Moldovan representative is to perform under number 15 in the second semi-final.

In case when Nelly Ciobanu passes the pre-selection, she is to sing on the stage of the sports complex Olympiisky frm Moscow, in the big final.

Moldova is participating for the fifth consecutive time in the Eurovision International Song Contest. The debut was realized in 2005, by the band Zdob şi Zdub. In 2006, Moldova was represented by the duet Arsenium and Natalia Gordienco. The next year, Natalia Barbu took the tenth place with the song Fight. And in 2008, our country was represented by Geta Burlacu, who did pass to the big final.
