Nashville's inaugural "Walk of Fame" stars named
Reba McEntire, Ronnie Milsap and the Fisk Jubilee Singers were among those chosen as the first inductees for a "Music City Walk of Fame" in Nashville, Tennessee, the walk's sponsors said on Monday to an Reuter’s interview.
Commemorative markers will be placed for them in a November 5 ceremony along with others for posthumous recipients Roy Orbison, songwriters Boudleaux & Felice Bryant and Nashville Symphony conductor Kenneth Schermerhorn.
The walk, similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, will feature sidewalk medallions displaying a star and inlaid guitar along with the inductee's name and role in the music industry. Its creation was announced in August.
