Shaznay Lewis admits All Saints regrets
All Saints star Shaznay Lewis has admitted that the group did not try hard enough to pick up new fans with their comeback material, Daily Star Sunday.
The singer explained that record company Parlophone was too complacent and mistakenly believed that the band's reunion would be as successful as Take That's.
"It was almost like the record company thought how easy it was for Take That, let's just put the album out and it will be a huge hit," Shaznay told the Daily Star Sunday. "It didn't work like that. Then it was hard because everybody was comparing our comeback with Take That's.
"Looking back, we should have built up a new fan base with our new singles rather than relying on our old fan base."
All Saints were dropped from Parlophone when their album Studio 1 only stayed in the top 40 for one week, but the group have vowed to carry on making music.
