Metallica legends are backing 'Record Store Day' with their appointment at Rasputin Music's Mountain View store near San Francisco on April 19. Metallica's first in-store in a decade comes as part of an initiative in the USA to raise the profile of traditional indie record shops.
The band are understood to be nearing completion on their new album, the follow-up to 2003's "St Anger".
