Kanye West has announced plans to play what is expected to be his only UK festival date of 2008.

The hip hop icon will appear at Global Gathering in Stratford Upon Avon in July, giving audiences outside North America a chance to see the "Glow In The Dark" show.

The lighting on the forthcoming tour has been choreographed by Martin Phillips and John McGuire, the duo behind Daft Punk's acclaimed 2007 concerts.

Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams are amongst the guests on Kanye's upcoming dates, prompting speculation they may also appear in the UK.

The pop trio have previously confirmed plans to work together and are reported to have recorded an album under the name Child Rebel Soldiers.

Global Gathering, which will also feature Mark Ronson, Moby and Robyn, takes place at Long Marsten Airfield on July 25-26.
