Even if she takes the praise of Mariah Carey, after some weeks of singing, Kristy Lee Cook was eliminated from American Idol, relates The Associated Press.

In an interview to USA Today, Cook claims that she was a little disappointed to go this soon because “I thought I had at least another week in me.”

When asked about how does she feel about judges arguing with each other while the contestants wait for their critiques? She answers “It's kind of hard to tell if they're talking about us or if they're talking about the song. I think they sometimes do it just to get our minds working (chuckles).”

Speaking to E! Online the eliminated Idol said her goal was to make the top five. In the end, she finished seventh.

"I was kind of upset that I went home because I thought I was getting stronger and stronger," Cook said. "I thought ["Forever"] was my best performance so far. I thought I had at least another week in me."
