Jailed rocker Pete Doherty still has one person willing to help him get back on his feet, relates Daily Mail.
Online retailer Stefano Passantino, who operates the website Lastseason.com, has set-up the “Pete Doherty Welfare Fund” to help the troubled musician get his life back together when he leaves prison.
Earlier this year, Stefano offered the Babyshambles star, 29, $10,000 for a one-day photo shoot for his clothing website.
But negotiations broke down after Pete’s management company demanded $60,000 as a starting price.
But regardless of Pete’s snub, Stefano still wants to give his “gifted” hero a “helping hand” — and is raising money from sales of stripy convict tops on his site for the drug-addled star.
He said: “I’m a huge fan who wants to see this gifted bloke given every chance to get back on his feet.
“I want to see Pete performing and writing new material for years to come.
“I’ll do what I can to help Pete leave the bad stuff behind him. I’ll give him a job, feed him, clothe him - but I won’t wash him, that’s asking too much.” |
