George Michael is reportedly set to perform on tomorrow night’s American Idol finale, according to The Sun. magazine

Earlier this week, Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe hinted that the “biggest star in the world” was coming to the show, but refused to revealed who the artist would be.

The ‘Careless Whisper’ singer’s appearance would coincide with his 20-city tour which starts June 17 in San Diego; and his recently released two-disc CD, Twenty-Five.

Reps for the Fox show would not confirm Michael’s appearance, while a rep for the Wham! frontman could not be immediately reached.

According to E! Online, finalists David Cook and David Archuleta may perform Michael hits during the two-hour finale that will also include Carrie Underwood performing her new single, Last Name. Producers, reports the site, may still be working out last-minute plans with additional singers.
