Madonna and Guy Ritchie have sparked fresh rumors their seven-year marriage is on the rocks as reports surface the pair are heading for a trial separation.
Madonna and Guy were at the Cannes Film Festival last week and “they did not look like two people who were very happy in each other’s company,” a source said. “She looked frail and pale, like someone under tremendous strain, and he seemed utterly miserable.”
Madonna, 49, is said to be fed up of the constant arguing “about everything” with Guy, who is ten years her junior; and she has often complained the ‘Snatch’ director drinks ‘way too much for his own good.’
The couple have reportedly been living virtually separate lives since the start of the year and have even divided their homes into his and hers quarters so they can avoid each other.
And Madonna is even believed to be planning to relocate to New York where she’ll live in her 6,000sq ft duplex apartment overlooking Central Park — which she has owned for 20 years and is enlarging to accommodate her children and staff. 
“Madonna is miserable and has lost her desire to live full-time in the UK,” a source said.
Despite the pair insisting they remain happily married, sources say the couple is now headed for a “civilized” trial separation.
A source told Britain’s Mail on Sunday newspaper, “She leaves for NY at the start of June and won’t be back until October. She has talked about the children going with her but she hasn’t mentioned Guy once.” |
