Lindsay Lohan’s estranged parents are back in courtroom to settle their long-simmering custody dispute after the divorce settlement in 2005 was interrupted by her father, Michael Lohan’s arrest over drink driving.
Michael has claimed that his ex-wife, Dina, has not lived up to their visitation agreement over their two younger children, Ali, 14 and Dakota, 11. According to Michael’s attorney, Dina denied his client from visiting the children.
The children live with their mother in Merrick while Michael resides in Southampton.
Lindsay, who turns 21 next month, and her 19-year-old brother Michael Jr are excluded from the custody battle as they are no longer minors.
The next hearing was scheduled to be July 14.
Sounding optimistic, Family Court Judge Stacy Bennett praised the pair for trying to reach an amicable settlement. "I am encouraged to hear that the parties and counsel are working at ways to repair the relationship between the children and the father." // CNA |
