Moldova.ORG -- Former boyband star Omarion has claimed the first new U.S. album chart-topper of 2007 after debuting his 21 album at number one on the new Billboard countdown, informs Billboard.com
The album sold 119,000 copies in its first week on release to topple rapper Nas' Hip Hop Is Dead, which slides to number four on the new chart.
The only other new entry in this week's top 20 is rockers Switchfoot's Oh! Gravity, which debuts at number 18.
B2K's Omarion went solo in 2005 with O, featuring production help from the Neptunes, Rodney Jerkins, and the Underdogs.
The title track, released as the lead single, helped send the album to the top of the Billboard chart. His second album, 21, followed in late 2006, and was kicked off by the excellent Timbaland collaboration "Ice Box."
