Bijou Phillips was namechecked in many a gossip column long before making her acting debut, reveals The Sun magazine.

An actress and singer-songwriter with a frequently changing look most often topped with blonde close-cropped hair, Phillips got her start as a model, and counted among her credits a stint at age 13 in a controversial Calvin Klein advertising campaign

Aside from being the daughter of a famous singer, Bijou is best-known for her wild antics and impressively dense filmography. She has appeared in almost two dozen movies since making her debut in 1999.

Bijou’s brutally honest demeanor, coupled with her penchant for letting it all hang out in public (both figuratively and literally), has transformed her into the ultimate bad girl.

Bijou returned to the world of music in 2005 and began recording tracks for her second album -- though it has yet to see the light of day. In 2007, she has roles in several movies, including Eli Roth’s eagerly anticipated Hostel sequel.
