Lindsay Lohan's mystery female partner in those disturbing knife photos has been identified as well-known US TV host Vanessa Minnillo, according to Reuters.
The emergence of the risque pictures has come at a difficult time for the 26-year-old beauty, whose contract with Entertainment Tonight recently expired amid rumours of her diva-like behaviour at work.
The series of images, reportedly taken last year, show Minnillo pulling down Lohan's shirt, playing with knives and nearly kissing the troubled actress.
"[She] got caught up in the moment and thought it would be fun," a source told UsMagazine.
But now Minnillo, who recently co-hosted the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico City with Mario Lopez, is worried the photos could  harm her reputation.
"It was stupid and she regrets it," the source continues. "They were only fooling around."
Besides the career-damaging photos, rumour has it that Minnillo is extremely difficult to work with.
When she covered the Grammys in February for Entertainment Tonight, "she was extremely high maintenance," a source told the New York Post.
