Singer Fergie has reassured fans she hasn't quit The Black Eyed Peas - the hip-hop group have a new album planned, reveals the star in a statement to Reuters.

All four Black Eyed Peas members have been concentrating on their solo careers, but are dedicated to reuniting in the studio in the near future.

Fergie says, "We don't have an album yet, a Black Eyed Peas album. We haven't had time; everybody's been constantly working, as we always do. But we will have an album. We're not going away."

Meanwhile, The Black Eyed Peas will perform at the London leg of Live Earth next month (07Jul07) before heading to Japan in August.

Fergie adds, "This will have been the longest time we have not performed together, so it'll be a nice reunion."
