Fans chose songs for new Mudvayne album
|
American hard rockers Mudvayne gave fans a chance to choose the songs for its new album.
"Lost and Found" collects demos, alternate versions and live takes of an assortment of its songs, plus two fresh recordings -- a cover of the Police's "King of Pain" and a new song called "Dull Boy." The songs were chosen by a fan vote on Mudvayne's Internet site, while the group chose which versions of the songs to include on the album.
"There's so many cool things we were like, 'We should get this to the people. They'd probably love this,'" singer Chad Gray said. "We just want to give back something to the people that have supported us for so long and allow them to be more a part of Mudvayne."
Though Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett spent much of 2007 working with the side band Hellyeah, Mudvayne is working on a studio album it hopes to release in 2008. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
