Popular Mexican singer killed

The lead singer of the popular Mexican musical group, K-Paz de la Sierra, was abducted and killed, El Universal newspaper reported Tuesday.

The body of Sergio Gomez, K-Paz' lead singer, was discovered during the weekend, police said, adding the corpse showed signs of torture.

The singer and several others were traveling by car after a recent concert when they were pulled over by armed men and removed from the vehicle.
