Tony Romo will be a little busy on Sunday dodging defensive lineman. But his ex has now decided to speak out on his new romance that is brewing with Jessica Simpson. Romo's college sweetheart, a model slash dancer named Tiffany Scarcelli still gives the quarterback rave reviews. Life & Style Weekly reports that they caught up with her in Plainfield, Ill., she called her ex "charming" and said, "He's not as outgoing as you’d think. But he’s really funny once you get to know him."
He was romantic, too. “We wrote notes to each other often,” Tiffany said. “He’d give me flowers and write letters. He’d leave notes on my car or in my house." While Tiffany said she doesn’t know what Tony’s intentions are toward Jess, she insisted that her split with Tony was amicable, they’re still friends.
So what came between them? With Tony looking to become a pro football player and Tiffany trying to break into professional  dancing, she said, “the timing was just off. Our lives were going in different, positive directions.”
The warning for Jessica may be that Tony is developing a history as a serial dater. Before hooking up with Jess, he was linked to country star Carrie Underwood, actress Sophia Bush and Britney Spears’ pal Ali Sims. “He likes the ladies," another friend tells the magazine, “especially if they happen to be famous.”
And if Tony’s wandering eye doesn’t get in the way, his job might. Talking about her split with Tony, Carrie Underwood recently said the game is his true love: “I don’t think he’s at appoint in his life where he’d be willing to sacrifice football." |
