Robbie Williams has been angered by news that his former songwriting partner Guy Chambers has teamed up with his ex-Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, say US reports.

Williams, who produced his hit single 'Angels' with Chambers, has found out that the songwriter is currently working with Barlow on the ITV project Britannia High, which is hoping to emulate the success of Disney's High School Musical.

The singer had recently started working on material for the follow-up to 2006's Rudebox album with Chambers, but the pair parted ways after they failed to rediscover their "spark".

A source told The Sun: "Robbie and Guy patched up their differences last year. They had been back in the studio trying to find the spark that produced Rob’s best material.

"They gave it a go but it didn’t work out – they had both moved on. But while they were working together in LA, Guy was asked to work as part of a team with Gary on a new TV show.

"He never mentioned it to Robbie. Rob heard Gary was in LA working and found out it was with Guy. He wasn’t best pleased when he heard."
