Star Snoop Dogg says his UK ban has been "overturned" and he plans to tour the country soon.

The Drop It Like It's Hot rapper - who was refused entry last year after being arrested and cautioned following a brawl at London's Heathrow Airport in 2006 - claims he has now been "found innocent" by a judge.

Speaking on US TV show Larry King Live, he said: "I was wrongfully accused and now I've been accepted back in. The decision was overturned. A judge found me innocent and now I'm able to go back there.

"So, everybody in the UK, big Snoop Dogg will be back to come give you all what you want."

The rapper, real name Calvin Broadus, claimed "a couple of run-ins and scenarios" had led to his original ban, but insisted there is still a "mutual love" between him and his British fans.

Snoop was scheduled to play several UK concerts with fellow rapper P Diddy when his visa was cancelled in March last year.

In April 2007, he was denied entry to Australia, where he was due to present the MTV Australian Video Music Awards,  after failing the country's strict 'character test', which considers past criminal convictions.                                 

In the same month, the 36-year-old star had been sentenced to five years' probation and 800 hours of community service after he pleaded no contest to gun and drug charges in California.
