The representative of Moldova for Eurovision Song Contest 2008 will be appointed tonight, at the national edition of the contest, held at the National Palace from Chisinau.
The Final National Selection is meant to be show concert, live broadcasted on TV Moldova 1, TV Moldova International, Radio Moldova and the web site www.trm.md. There will be 12 performers at this edition of the National Selection that were selected within the internal hearing. The participants will perform live, assisted by ballet and back-vocal.
According to the Regulations, they are to perform in the back order of the points they accumulated at the internal hearing: Liusia Znamensk, Elena Dermidjean, Living Creatures, Scroom band, Galina Şcoda, Dana Marchitan, Jay Mon, Catrina Pâslaru, Cristina Rujiţcaia, Geta Burlacu, Edict band, Alexa and Olia Tira.
The people can choose their favourite performer by SMS or a phone call. The voting begins after all the contest finishes and it lasts 15 minutes. The finalist is chosen by the sum of votes given by the specialized jury, tele-voting, and the reference team. After summing all these components, in the presence of a notary, they will announce the total number of points accumulated, which will determine the Representative of Moldova at Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
This year edition of Eurovision Song Contest 2008 takes place in Serbia, Belgrade.
