Take That, Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters have won two awards apiece at this year's Brit Awards, informs Daily Star.

Take That took home the British Single trophy for 'Shine' and the British Live Act gong, while Arctic Monkeys won the British Album award for Favourite Worst Nightmare and the prize for British Group.

Foo Fighters won both awards for which they were nominated: International Album for Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace and International Group.

Having been nominated in four categories, Leona Lewis failed to win a Brit Award. The X Factor star lost the British Female prize to Kate Nash and surrendered the British Breakthrough Act trophy to Mika. She was also snubbed in the British Single and British Album categories.

Kylie Minogue won the International Female prize, while Kanye West took home the trophy for International Male.

Mark Ronson also enjoyed a successful evening, winning the award for British Male.

Sir Paul McCartney collected the Outstanding Contribution to Music trophy, ending the evening with a medley of his greatest hits.
